About Talk Dirty to Me

"Talk Dirty to Me" is the second single from American glam metal band Poison, originally from the album Look What the Cat Dragged In. It's the band's first big international hit, a staple at their live shows, and VH1 ranked it the 40th greatest hard rock song of all time. It is considered a glam metal classic and is often heard on rock radio stations around the globe. It peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the band's first top 40 hit in the United States. The single has since been certified platinum. The song, along with "I Won't Forget You", "Fallen Angel", and "Ride the Wind", was the subject of a lawsuit in 2011 by members of the defunct band Kid Rocker, who claimed that the songs were based on Kid Rocker songs played to Poison guitarist C. C. DeVille before he was a member of Poison.

You know I never, I've never seen you look so good
You never act the way you should
But I like it
And I know you like it too
The way that I want you
I've gotta have you
Oh yes I do
I never, I never ever stay out late
You know that I can hardly wait
Just to see you
And I know you cannot wait
Wait to see me too
I've got to touch you
'Cause baby we'll be

At the drive in
In the old man's Ford
Behind the bushes
'Til I'm screamin' for more
Down the basement
Lock the cellar door
And baby
Talk dirty to me

You know I call you, I call you on the telephone
I'm only hopin' that you're home
So I can hear you
When you say those words to me
And whisper so softly
I've gotta hear you
'Cause baby we'll be

At the drive in
In the old man's Ford
Behind the bushes
'Til I'm screamin' for more
Down the basement
Lock the cellar door
And baby
Talk dirty to me

C.C. pick a bad guitar, and-a-talk to me, yeah
Whoo whoo whoo whoo

'Cause baby we'll be
At the drive in
In the old man's Ford
Behind them, bushes
'Til I'm screamin' for more, more, more
Down the basement
And lock the cellar door
And baby, talk dirty to me, yeah
And baby, talk dirty to me, yeah
And baby
Talk dirty to me

Uh
Whoo
That's the way I like it, baby
Ooh, yeah

Poison

In the context of biology, poisons are substances that cause disturbances to organisms, usually by chemical reaction or other activity on the molecular scale, when a sufficient quantity is absorbed by an organism. The fields of medicine (particularly veterinary) and zoology often distinguish a poison from a toxin, and from a venom. Toxins are poisons produced by some biological function in nature, and venoms are usually defined as toxins that are injected by a bite or sting to cause their effect, while other poisons are generally defined as substances absorbed through epithelial linings such as the skin or gut. more »
