Mother please forgive me
I just had to get out all my pain and suffering
Now that I am done, remember I will always love you
I'm your son

Little child, looking so pretty
Come out and play, I'll be your daddy
Innocent child, looking so sweet
A rape in my eyes and on your flesh I'll eat

You've raped!
I feel dirty
It hurt!
As a child
Tied down!
That's a good boy
And fucked!
Your own child
I scream!
No one hears me
It hurt!
I'm not a liar
My God!
Saw you watching
Mommy why?!
Your own child

It's alright

I didn't touch you there
Mama said she didn't care
I didn't touch you there
That's why mama stopped and stared

I fucking hate you! Motherfucker!
Motherfucker! I fucking hate you! F*ck you!
You son of a bitch, you fucking ruined my life!
I wanted to die!
I'm sick of it, mother fucker, oh oh
Why'd you f*ck'n do it to me?
I hate you!
I f*ck'n hate you!
I hate you!
Why?!
I hate you!

10 facts about this song

Album Background
"Daddy" is the last track on the self-titled debut album by American nu metal band Korn. The album was released in 1995.
Song's Content
"Daddy" deals with very mature and dark themes. The song is about singer Jonathan Davis’ experience with childhood sexual abuse.
Length and structure
This song has a running time of 17:31 minutes, but it ends at around 9:26. The last seven minutes of the track are filled with silence, followed by a hidden track.
Emotional Performance
The song ends with an emotional breakdown from the band's lead singer, Jonathan Davis. He ended up crying in the vocal booth as the song was a personal recount of his torment.
Limited Performance
The band hardly ever plays "Daddy" live in concerts. Davis finds it too emotionally taxing to perform on stage, and it was only played live after 20 years since it was first released.
Song Origin
"Daddy" was written when Korn was still called “LAPD”. They played it once at a show before becoming Korn, and the raw emotion from Davis made the band keep the song despite its heavy content.
Misrepresentation
Contrary to some belief, the song is not about Davis’ biological father. This misconception seems to have come from the title of the song.
Parental Response
Davis's parents didn't believe him when he confessed about the molestation, and the abuser got away with it, which added another layer of trauma to his experience—that lack of belief is also addressed in the song.
Notable Hidden Track
The hidden track at the end of "Daddy" is sometimes referred to as "Michael and Geri," and features a bizarre parody of the Ventures' "Wipe Out," involving dog barks, laughter, and inaudible dialogue.
Song's Influence
Despite its emotionally heavy content, or perhaps because of it, "Daddy" is often cited as one of Korn's more influential tracks, showcasing the band's raw, emotional, and innovative approach to music.
