In the bleak midwinter
Long, long ago
Earth stood hard as iron
Water like a stone
Snow had fallen
Snow on snow, snow on snow
In the bleak midwinter
A long, long time ago

What can I give Him
Poor as I am?
If I were a shephard
I would give a lamb
And if I were a wise man
I'd duly play my part

What can I give him?
I will give my heart

Earth stood hard as iron
Frosty winds did blow
In the bleak midwinter
A long, long time ago
