It was held off from the top spot only by Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)". In Austria, Finland and Switzerland "U Got 2 Let the Music", peaked at number 1. On the Eurochart Hot 100 the single entered at number 46 in October, 1993 and it peaked at number 4 on 15 January 1994. The song did also chart in Australia, Japan and Southeast Asia. It was the 36th best-selling single of 1993 in the United Kingdom. "U Got 2 Let the Music" was re-released in 1998, 2004 and 2006, in remixed versions.
