About Te Daría Mi Vida

"Te Daría Mi Vida" is a song by Mexican singer Paulina Rubio, taken from her third studio album El Tiempo Es Oro (1995), written by C. Sánchez and C. Valle and produced by Miguel Blasco. The song was released as the album's lead single on 17 January 1995 by EMI Music. "Te Daría Mi Vida" is known as the song that re-invented Rubio with more sound dance-pop , as her previous albums were presented with her "girl next door" persona. Her music onwards presented a more independent approach. Lyrically, the song was said to be about Rubio's new era and her relationship with her then-boyfriend, Ricardo Borfil. The song was lauded by music critics, who noted the imagery change in her music. They also complimented the song itself and felt it was one of Rubio's best, along as a highlight to, not just her studio album but her compilations as well. Commercially, it was successful. "Te Daría Mi Vida" peaked at number one in Mexico and was her fifth number one song. The single sold more than 140,000 copies between Mexico and United States. The accompanying music video for "Te Daría Mi Vida" was directed by Carlos Marcovich and was filmed in Xochimilco and the Estudios Churubusco in Mexico.

Oh-uh-oh, oh-uh-oh, yo no soy
No soy mujer de una historia
Oh-uh-oh, oh-uh-oh, por favor, no que no
No me confundas con otra

Te daría mi vida, mi guerra y paz
Te daría mi vida, amor, amar
Te daría mi vida, te daría sin condición

Te daría mi vida, quisiera o no

Te daría mi vida, mi guerra y paz
Te daría mi vida, amor, amar
Te daría mi vida, te daría sin condición

No es imposible dar el corazón
Si tú me quieres como yo

Oh-uh-oh, oh-uh-oh, por favor
Ahora o nunca, ya es hora
Oh-uh-oh, oh-uh-oh, sí o no
O ve buscándote otra
Oh-uh-oh, oh-uh-oh, oh-uh-oh
No soy mujer de una historia

Te daría, te daría, te daría, te daría mi vida

Oh-uh-oh, oh-uh-oh, oh-uh-oh
O ve buscándote otra
Oh-uh-oh, oh-uh-oh, oh-uh-oh
