The Hollies

The Hollies are an English pop group formed in Manchester in the early 1960s, although the majority of the band members came from towns in East Lancashire. Known for their distinctive vocal harmony style, they became one of the leading British groups of the 1960s and early 1970s. They enjoyed considerable popularity in many countries, although they did not achieve major US chart success until 1966. They had 30 charting singles on the UK Singles Chart, and 21 on the Billboard Hot 100, with songs including, "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother", "Carrie Anne", "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" and "The Air That I Breathe". more »

Why, why ignore me
And keep me out all of the time
Do you think i don't love you
It's only in your mind

You don't give me your reason
You don't explain all your ways
It must be the change of the season
That's all i can say

Was it something that i said
That made you stop loving me
I only want for the best
Not to see you in my life
Makes me so unimportant
I can't live with myself

Gone, gone is tomorrow
I'm only living for today
I never thought you'd ever leave me
Now you have gone away.
