The Feeling

About Turn It Up

"Turn It Up" is the third single to be taken from soft rock quintet The Feeling's chart-topping second album, Join With Us. It was confirmed on 16 May 2008 on the band's official website that it would be released digitally on 30 June, with the CD out on 7 July. The single's format details were revealed on The Feeling's website on 29 May 2008. Included are the single itself, a new song, a cover version of Velvet Underground's "Femme Fatale" and two remixes of "Turn It Up". "Turn It Up" is The Feeling's second-lowest charting single. A possible reason for this is that it was included on Now 70, and it was announced that the single would be included on this before the single was released. The band performed "Turn It Up" on The Graham Norton Show on 5 June 2008 and on The Sunday Night Project on 6 July 2008.

Well, I know what you're after
It's a rock and roll disaster
Like you see in the papers
That you read on escalators

Did you smile 'cause you want it?
Did I put my finger on it?
It's a dream till you've lived it
To receive you've got to give it

Don't say anything
You're talking but you don't say anything
You don't do anything
You're moving but you don't do anything

So turn it up, turn it up
'cause little love just ain't enough
Yeah, turn it up, turn it up
Ain't nobody wants to be alone
There ain't nobody wants to be alone

Did you notice
When you walked into the office
With a cup on a plastic tray
All the joys in life that have slipped away?
Did you notice?

You don't say anything
You're talking but you don't say anything
You don't do anything
Keep moving but you don't do anything

So turn it up, turn it up
'cause little love just ain't enough
Yeah, turn it up, turn it up
There ain't nobody wants to be alone

Turn it up, turn it up
'cause little love just ain't enough
Yeah, turn it up to big love
And when your heart is sinking like a stone
Ain't nobody wants to be alone

You don't say anything
You're talking but you don't say anything
You don't do anything
Keep moving but you don't do anything

Yeah, turn it up, turn it up
'cause little love just ain't enough
Yeah, turn it up, turn it up
There ain't nobody wants to be alone

Yeah, turn it up, turn it up
'cause little live just ain't enough
Yeah, turn it up to big love
And when your heart is sinking like a stone
Ain't nobody wants to be alone
