Once upon a time
In a land not too far away
There lived a little boy and girl
Who saw the world in different ways
She saw the world in black-and-white
He saw colors far and wide
She couldn't see all the light
That the boy saw through his eyes
One day, she'd believe in fairy tales
He said, Take a bite of my poison apple
It's for happ'ly ever after
We'll be fairest in all the land
Eyes wide, she runs away
Into the trees, crumbs guide her way
Looking for light, but only darkness came
Do you believe in fairy tales
Do you believe that dreams, yeah
Dreams come true
Do you believe in fairy tales
Do you believe in happy endings too
Do you believe
For years and years
The boy searched far and wide
Til a fairy whispered in his ear
Just let your conscience be your guide
It's then he knew in the final hour
That she must be up in the tower
She'd need a kiss to escape
A kiss before it was too late
One day, she'd believe in fairy tales
House of candy, Gingerbread
Witch wants me but I'm not dead
Actin' like I had no choice
Ventured out to the deep blue sea
Part of that world, I wanna be
I nearly lost my voice
Do you believe in fairy tales
Do you believe that dreams, yeah
Dreams come true
Do you believe in fairy tales
Do you believe in happy endings too
Do you believe
So, I was in a deep sleep
I didn't give him permission
to put a kiss on me
Why'd he make me his mission?
Then he told me he was here to help
But we had to bounce
That I was under a spell
With an evil witch tryna pounce
We were in a tower
I was feelin' sour
I knew that no help would come for hours and hours
Now our only choice at that point
Was to climb down my hair
And I still need a keratin treatment
From those makeshift stairs
I was waitin' and hatin' on my new fate
And the current state I was in
It really had me quite irate
They say that
A dream is
A wish that
Your heart makes
But I was blue
And down a shoe
With a pumpkin carriage on a break
Despite the curse and the pain
I had a lot to gain
A carpet ride
It opened my mind
And I'll never be the same
The fairest in the land
And then all the bells rang
He grabbed my hand
Looked in my eyes
And then together we sang
Yes, I believe in fairy tales
Yes, I believe that dreams, yeah
Dreams come true
Yes, I believe in fairy tales
Yes, I believe in happy endings too
Yes, I believe
