Dropkick Murphys

Dropkick Murphys are an American punk rock band formed in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1996. The band was initially signed to independent punk record label Hellcat Records, releasing five albums for the label, and making a name for themselves locally through constant touring and yearly St. Patrick's Day week shows, held in and around Boston. The 2004 single "Tessie" became the band's first and one of their biggest charting singles to date. The band's final Hellcat release, 2005's The Warrior's Code, included "I'm Shipping Up to Boston", which was featured in the Academy Award-winning movie The Departed and went on to become one of the band's biggest singles, one of their best-known songs, and an anthem for Boston sports teams. more »

I'll take this jug of Drinkin' Juice
I'll bust it on the wall
I'll stay sober the rest of my days
Never touch the stuff at all
I'll never touch the stuff at all

How many times you promised me
You'd never drink that Juice
Well, I've learned five thousand times or more
To trust you ain't no use
To trust you ain't no use

I'll never get drunk no more, my love
I'll never get drunk no more
I'll never walk into that barroom door
I'll never get drunk no more
I'll never get drunk anymore

Oh please, my dear, open up your heart
And open up your gate
Open up your door, so locked and barred
Please give me one more date
Please give me one more date

Ten million times you broke my heart
With a bottle in your hand
Don't wanna make love to a bottle
I wanna make love to my man
I wanna make love to my man

I'll never get drunk no more, my love
I'll never get drunk no more
I'll never walk into that barroom door
I'll never get drunk no more

I'll never get drunk anymore

Oh please, my dear, open up your heart
And open up your gate
Well, my doors are locked and you are barred
You ain't gettin' no more dates
You ain't gettin' no more dates

I'll never get drunk no more, my love
I'll never get drunk no more
I'll never walk into that barroom door
I'll never get drunk no more

I'll never get drunk no more, my love
I'll never get drunk no more
I'll never walk into that barroom door
I'll never get drunk no more
I'll never get drunk anymore
