Around people I be messing with the blinds to take a peek
And am baffled to find out they don't have what I seek
For me to be comfortable with just being me
If they say they know me well ha they probably don't

I don't know about the show biz
I'm no whiz on the microphone I'm not it
I think I'd rather be at school taking a quiz
Or in Canada talking bout tarantulas with Angela
To manage a profession you need to be in front of a camera
On the planet of kuana evens with your manager
And have the stamina to perform for the demand of
Your fan club
Give them what they want or they unsub
And unplug you from your label
Cause they look at numbers then you stuck watching cable
And you start to wonder what you could've been in the long run
If you were comfortable in your own skin but
I guess it is what it is
