Blinded in Chains

City of Evil is the third studio album by American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold, released on June 6, 2005, through Warner Bros. and Hopeless Records. Co-produced by Andrew Murdock, City of Evil contains a more traditional heavy metal and hard rock sound than Avenged Sevenfold's previous two albums, which showcased a predominantly metalcore sound. Alright, A to B, and back. It's just me
And me! We! Well, shall we? The errand awaits

Destination, here I come!
(We're going outside!)
World, surrounding, to and from
(Though, still in your own)

Deals and discounts within reach
(I'm on a mission!)
But distractions define my streets
(There's so much going on!)

Take a right!
No wait, take a left! Take a right!
Please make up your...

Mind, today's companion
What will we think about?
Maybe purchasing that slice of pizza
Or some takeout!
Colors, chains and crosswalks
Churches, cars on every curb
Focus. How'd I get here?
Those last moments were a blur!

Pit stop, 7-Eleven, yeah!
(You've led us astray)
Then I promise we will go
(That's what you always say)

Take a right!
No wait, take a left! Take a right!
Please make up your...
"Mind the gap"
No, F*ck that
We're in the United States

Mind, today's companion
What will we think about?
Maybe purchasing that slice of pizza
Or some takeout!
Colors, chains and crosswalks
Churches, cars on every curb
Focus. How'd I get here?
Those last moments were a blur!

Whatchya staring at, you weirdo? Take your eyes off me
Actually, they're not a weirdo. This is just city
Snap out of that mind. Our destination lies...

Take a right! No take a left! No take a right!
Please make up your...

Mind, today's companion
What will we think about?
Maybe purchasing that slice of pizza
Or some takeout!
Colors, chains and crosswalks
Churches, cars on every curb
Focus. How'd I get here?
Those last moments were a!
