November gloom, cold skin
Apple cider, garbage tins
Soggy leaves, fog swirls

Watch the trees bend and blow
They surround my little home
Keep me sheltered from the world

I feed the stove in the night
Cup my hands around my eyes
To see the snow coming down

Short cold days, hard freeze
Ski a path between the trees
To the field above the town

November gloom, that psychic premonition
