Adamah

Adamah (Biblical Hebrew : אדמה) is a word, translatable as ground or earth, which occurs in the Genesis creation narrative. The etymological link between the word adamah and the word adam is used to reinforce the teleological link between humankind and the ground, emphasising both the way in which man was created to cultivate the world, and how he originated from the "dust of the ground". Because man is both made from the adamah and inhabits it, his duty to realise his own potential is linked to a corresponding duty to the earth. In Eden, the adamah has primarily positive connotations, although Adam's close relationship with the adamah has been interpreted as likening him to the serpent, which crawls upon the ground, thus emphasising his animal nature. After t… more »

I'm the specter of endless screams, a thing not of humanity
According to the hangmen who slit my wrists just to see me bleed
A suffering end for me, yet likely as just as it could be
Their cheering screams lead me on to live immortal in memory
My veins yet drip and my teeth are smashed
I still live as I'm turned to ash
It would be a miracle
If they would ever forget my face
For every woman I've raped and killed, surely I shall get my fill
A noose around a bleeding neck and death's welcoming chill
Punctured lungs still gasp for air, death rattles fill the square
Blood gushes forth unto the stones, spelling out my end
My veins yet drip and my teeth are smashed
I still live as I'm turned to ash
It would be a miracle
If they would ever forget my face
Though I've cried and called for salvation
No god will hear my screams
Locked in isolation
To spend the rest of eternity
My nails are pulled and my hair is torn
My body but a bleeding sore
But it would be a miracle
If they would ever forget my face
The pendulum swings in time with my convulsions
A macabre display of humanity's devotions
To ritualize and to televise
The act of dying - the pleasure is mine
My veins yet drip and my teeth are smashed
I still live as I'm turned to ash
It would be a miracle
If they would ever forget my face
Though I've cried and called for salvation
No god will hear my screams
Locked in isolation
To spend the rest of eternity
My nails are pulled and my hair is torn
My body but a bleeding sore
But it would be a miracle
If they would ever forget my face
Though I've cried and called for salvation
No god will hear my screams
Locked in isolation
To spend the rest of eternity
My nails are pulled and my hair is torn
My body but a bleeding sore
But it would be a miracle
If they would ever forget my face
