Flea Market

A flea market (or swap meet) is a type of street market that provides space for vendors to sell previously owned (second-hand) goods. This type of market is often seasonal. However, in recent years there has been the development of 'formal' and 'casual' markets which divides a fixed-style market (formal) with long-term leases and a seasonal-style market with short-term leases. Consistently, there tends to be an emphasis on sustainable consumption whereby items such as used goods, collectibles, antiques and vintage clothing can be purchased, in an effort to combat climate change and fast fashion.Flea market vending is distinguished from street vending in that the market alone, and not any other public attraction, brings in buyers. The rain began falling when Wendell left for the Ridge,
So he stopped to take cover beneath an old wooden bridge
He couldn't wait any longer, so he pulled up his hood
And started the path out from his old neighborhood

The rain was quite heavy, there was no end in sight
But he continued to trudge for 2 days and 1 night

When the skies started clearing, over the horizon Wendell saw
what he thought to be, the Tree of Poseidon
It stood high on the Ridge, and the sun cast down a shadow
Over the rocks and the cliff into the valley below

The path up the Ridge, it was so tricky and viral
The slightest miscalculation would send him down in a spiral

But with self-determination he would pull himself up
And out of his sack he pulled an old pewter cup
He held the cup up, to the dripping wet tree
And collected the moisture that rolled off of a leaf

When the cup was quite full, he drank it all down
He spotted the stone, and his feet left the ground

As Wendell rose above the rocks and tree he gazed upon, the yonder sea
A breeze picked up and carried him that way
In the air above, the rocky shore, where only gods and osprey soar
Poseidon's Tree had carried him away...

Take me away (sanctified by thy root, safe inside of my room)

Across the sea, over the great divide, for the first time he saw the other side
And like a wave he rolled into the bay
The first to see it of his kind, the first to touch, the first to find
This place that was so very far away

Take me away (sanctified by thy root, safe inside of my room)

Now with the earth beneath his feet, into the woods where he would meet
A dark man who approached him to say...
"Hochamiki, likikiki, meeke fung", when translated to Wendell's native toungue
Meant young man, here you cannot stay

Take me away (sanctified by thy root, safe inside of my room)
