Circle Sky

Founded in 1986 and formerly based in Boston, Circle Sky were tapped by CMJ (College Music Journal) in 1989 as one of the 10 best indie rock bands in the USA. No less than David Bowie confirmed this fact by personally choosing them and their music and hiring them to open the first-ever show by his brand new first-ever rock band of his storied career, Tin Machine, at The World ballroom venue in NYC, watching them play, and later telling Circle Sky co-founder singer songwriter and lead guitarist Michael Culhane face to face that he had “loved the songs, the guitar playing — you have a great band!” Having finished 2nd place back in Boston in the legendary WBCN Battle of the Bands just before getting the nod from Bowie, this was a wonderful culmination for the h… more »

I look back
And I look away
Nothing there now to betray
This could be an adjustment
Hey, we must have run out of things to say
How long are you volatile
Before you’re jumping in on the pig pile
This is the half-life of a protest song
Vera never had the nerve
Some will veer
And some will swerve
Dave ended up in an early grave
Up ended Chuck some boss’ slave
How long are you volatile
Before you’re jumping in on the pig pile
This is the half-life of a protest song
This: is
The half-life of a protest song ...
Halfway and midstream
Don’t change horses
Hide behind your bush
Do me a nice dream
Double-arm the forces
With buttons I can push
Hide behind the bush/Don’t hide behind...
The bush (The Bush)
Don't hide behind the bush
Don’t hide behind the bush
I spent today as a protest day
I went to vote for 'im anyway
How long are you volatile
Before you’re jumping in on the big pile
This is the half-life of a protest song
This is...
The half-life of a protest song...
