Every single thing in my whole life changed
No exaggeration best time of my life
Fam and friends all in town, Ant drove through the night

My cousin Lance had his second son
I'm not a family man now but it's yet to come

It's just a regular day
The first day after May
Newly married with a gold ring finger display
No babies on the way
But back at the 9-5 cause it's bringing the pay
Plotting on a way out although the job does have its uses
Save a few more months and then I'm chucking up the deuces
All seemed right even had an exit strategy
But that didn't end up the plan God had for me
Boss called me casually
To have a meeting after three
Feeling like the bad student meeting with faculty
Said it's sad to see, but now our budgets cut drastically

As I'm packing up my stuff and heading straight to door

Now I'm running for my goals trying to dodge land mines

Silver lining I know things could be a lot worse

2017 was a year of change
I feel 2018 is about to be the same
I got married, sold out my first show
Headlined my first tour
But still got a ways to go
Life is coming fast but the money's coming slow
And labels mainly judge me by how many follow 
I built my own team, who all have the same dream
To live a life doing what they love for the cream
And finally getting recognition on the local scene
Success has got me itching for it daily like a phene
Learned more about myself in the last year
Than all the other 27, I could lose it any second 
All of my passive aggression, porn addiction adolescence
There's a God but I have questions, Time to get back to my essence
Build it block by block I used to suck at Tetris
I studied the game and analyzed all the metrics
Everything that you have could be gone in a second
You've been gifted this moment so please enjoy the present
I wrote a few goals down that I intend to reach
A wise man learns more than he intends to teach
Bout to pack it all up and move to LA
By this time next year I may be speaking to you from a beach
And I'm so grateful for this Georgia peach
You gave a thriving environment and showed me nothing's out of reach
Built relationships I couldn't put a price on
Now I'm turning a new chapter until my happy ever after
Thinking bout my legacy, but don't know what's ahead of me
And still got a lot of things weighing on me heavily
I want to leave the idea that you can be whatever
