That's where he lays his head down

And smoke the dog ends he's found

Society turned it's back on you 
And so did the system sad but it's true
People crossing the street when they see you come by
They warn their kids with stories
They don't care if it's all a lie
Cardboard for covers will not stop the chill
It's only a matter of time till it kills
Hungry and dirty no life in your eyes
And the day that they find you it will be no surprise

Never had a home knew no one with a heart
Why did fate turn it's back on you 
Did you make the mistake and give the devil his due?

Looking for something someone threw away
To sell with yourself to some creep for the day
