Jack Stafford

John E. "Jack" Stafford (1879 – May 19, 1946) was a professional baseball umpire. Stafford, who was born in Portland, New Brunswick (now Saint John), Canada, in 1879, umpired a single game in the National League in 1906, and then umpired 131 games in the American League in 1907. He issued five ejections during his career, including future Hall of Fame inductee Sam Crawford in May 1907.Stafford reportedly lost his major league umpiring job following a disagreement with Philadelphia Athletics manager Connie Mack. Centuries of science, have given us the answers
We know matter's unconscious
We can show evolution's purposeless
The only reality's material reality

There's just one part that's hazy, that bit at the beginning
How all mass and energy, came into being
And the laws that govern all of existence
Appeared at once, in a single instant, from nothing...
We just need

One free miracle
The B part of the Bang
Give us this one free miracle
For our theories to hang
Only this one free miracle
We can explain the rest
We need just one free miracle
All else we can test

We're all on the same page, from Dawkin to Hawking
Intellectual phase-locking
Fundamental constants, must never change
We average results out so they stay the same

Ditto to the dark stuff, we add and subtract
"Conservation of energy" must remain intact
Science is settled, without an almighty
So now we restrict, the areas of enquiry
To the details

We just need
One free miracle
The B part of the Bang
Give us this one free miracle
For our theories to hang
Only this one free miracle
We can explain the rest
We need just one free miracle
All else we can test

Nature is mechanistic
Unexplained phenomenons are illusory

Get it through your head - your mind's in your body
Biological inheritance is only through your genes

One free miracle
The B part of the Bang
Give us this one free miracle
For our theories to hang
Only this one free miracle
We can explain the rest
We need just one free miracle
All else we can test
