They would rather see you cry
Then see themselves smile
That's how I know the devil is not in exile
Turn the flesh of a reptile into a textile
Snakeskin leathers when I step out

Daytrip took it to ten (hey)

Uh, freedom, freedom
I'm just tryna get in your arms tonight
I'm just tryna get in your arms tonight, mm
I know it's cold out here
I know it all, please have no fear

Haviah
Look
I ain't even flagged up (no)
I ain't even ganged up
Mighty gang, no handguns
I don't need your handcuffs
Black skin on a back spin
'Cause they don't understand us
I narrative abandoned
Replace with propaganda
I disentangled all these messes
Want to handle all these stresses
"You have the right to remain silent"
But then they cancelled all these blessings
But ay, but who the f*ck Miranda
Walking onto my veranda
Then I gotta put my hands up
Making all of these demands, uh
It's panoramic, every angle
But I ain't finna get ran up on
And I be muting these babylon
'Cause I ain't putting these shackles on
Ankle monitor just the same
I know you probably want a slave
So, all my partners gon' behave
Free to fall into my grace

Still ridin', still ridin', still lookin' lookin', yeah
Still ridin', still ridin', still lookin' for me, yeah
Where you at? Where you been? Doin' work all day
Where you at? Where you goin'? Tryna get home safe
Still ridin', still ridin', still lookin' lookin', yeah
Still ridin', still ridin', still lookin' for me, yeah
Where you at? Where you been? Doin' work all day
Where you at? Where you goin'? Tryna get home safe

Uh, it's a fine line
It's a fine line, still
Always gotta walk it straight
Plus we gotta climb hills
Plus the place a minefield
We just tryna find meals
Hurt from time
Why they say that time heals?
Push to leave home
Then stopped when we behind wheels
Then they sign the crime bills
We can't all be signed sealed
We need real jobs, no
Need to re-define real
I recall when I was small, like 1999 'til

It was "Hands in your pockets, everyone's watching
I know they do it, but that's not an option
Show caution, don't let it show though
Keep up your grades, clean up your fade
Make 'em all laugh, take a seat and behave
You need to be brave"
We still afraid though

Still ridin', still ridin', still lookin' lookin', yeah
Still ridin', still ridin', still lookin' for me, yeah
Where you at? Where you been? Doin' work all day
Where you at? Where you goin'? Tryna get home safe
Still ridin', still ridin', still lookin' lookin', yeah
Still ridin', still ridin', still lookin' for me, yeah
Where you at? Where you been? Doin' work all day
Where you at? Where you goin'? Tryna get home safe

I hear things, I feel things
F*ck the fake love, want a real thing
We caged birds, song still sing
Be caged birds
Songs never see the light of day
Cut my wings off and I fly away
Crossing the street, being stopped by police
And I feel like (?)
They gave me the right of the way, uh
More peace and less war
Screaming f*ck Doug Ford
JLF the brute force
But ain't the one they root for
False promises, from false prophets
Far from perfect since they been
Got my jaw locking, law stopping

Since they been
Got my jaw locking, law stopping

Since they been
Got my jaw locking, law stopping

Big on twenty-four
Fred Hamm twenty-one
HOV came twenty-six
Now look what he become
I'mma be a legend in my next fucking twenty-four
I'mma see some blessings in my next fucking twenty-four

Watch the game from the floor seats
That's all season (ride, ride)
Fourth quarter, we can't stop 'til the score even (ride, ride)
News cycles got mamas traumatized
No such thing as a long term plan
When you can't see twenty-five
Maradona wrote this with the hand of God
See the snakes even through the camouflage
Politicians taking pictures with the kids
Same time they rob they parents blind
Ah never mind

Real leaders, and not no pretenders
Public policy with private agenda
Corporate interests, foreign investments
I can tell you will not be remembered

Telling me just ride on
Bygones be bygones
But these arms get tied up
F*ck that I write on
Way I craft this perfect picture
It deserve a Pulitzer, a Cy Young
Say the good gon' die young
But I hope we get freedom

I'm just tryna get in her arms tonight

Daytrip took it to ten (hey)
