This is a place where memories may rot
The signs of the times lay upon us
I feel it coming for me
My soul laid bare upon the sweet suffering
As I am one with the burden

Rotting in the pouring rain
Another lowly pilgrim left discarded by the way
Oh, how great is is that I am abandoned
Once again in my greatest time of need
Was it not clear from the start that the art would be so fruitless and without promise
Still you thought to blame your failures all on me
Trust
Discarded once again, we break

The poison that you fabricate
Rejoice
For now we all know discontent
And still
You will never see consequence
As you stand commanding all the sorrow from your soul
The malice and the petulance is all I came to know
The binding grasp of selfishness too much for you to hide
Discarding those around you, now in anguish we reside
The trees all look the same
The wind singing my name
The screaming comes from the sea
And how it screams out to me
Now, I find, I'm running out of time
The story almost ended and the moral undefined
Regret, rebuild, the years lost in the hills
Again I see the visage of the pilgrim I have killed
The words they say, so poisoned and dismayed
But am I not the brother and the friend that you betrayed
And here, I know, the story is now told
I hope you'll find your penance coalescing with the mould
