The Fourth Herd was one of the many incarnations of the Woody Herman Orchestra that existed from the late 1940s to the mid-1950s. The band was known for its energetic and innovative big band arrangements, blending the swing and bebop styles of jazz. Woody Herman & the Fourth Herd achieved commercial success with hits like "Early Autumn" and "Keen and Peachy."
