The group is composed of Ira Dorsey, Raheen Peterson, and Matt Hinkle, who perform under the respective personas of Bootleg, Shoestring, and Backstabba. The name Dayton Family derives from Dayton Street, one of the most crime-ridden streets in their hometown.
