A chance opening for Sammy Kershaw at Pitman, New Jersey’s historic Broadway Theatre in 2007 was the first step in what has since become Country recording artist SHERRY LYNN’s journey of a thousand miles. “Of course I’ve traveled a lot further than that,” laughs Lynn. “But the saying is absolutely true, it’s all in that first step!” That step opened many doors for Lynn to walk through. To date, her journey has led to three Top 40 hits from her Sophomore CD, A BEAUTIFUL LIFE: “What A Day To Shake A Heartache,” the title-track duet with Country icon Crystal Gayle, and her sassy toe tapper “Girls Will Be Girls.” The vivacious vocalist made her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2013 when she and Crystal performed their duet for excited fans in Music City. “It all seems unreal sometimes,” says the entertainer. “Ever since I was a little girl and watched the movie the Coal Miner’s Daughter my dream has been too sing on that coveted stage.” In reality, I’m a mom with five kids and I still do all the things that ‘regular’ folks do. I just happen to sing for a living.” A native of Clayton, New Jersey, Sherry now splits her time between her home state and the bright lights of Nashville, Tennessee. “I do have to be in Nashville quite a bit and I love it there,” explains the lovely brunette. “But I do still enjoy playing for the ‘hometown’ crowds.” In fact, in her home state, Lynn’s path has also found her sharing the stage with Miranda Lambert, Chris Young, The Oak Ridge Boys, Randy Hauser as well as countless others. Currently she is getting ready for the release of her third studio album “These Are The Nights”. The album was produced in Nashville by Christos Gatzimos the son of Crystal Gayle. The disc features tunes, by stellar songwriters including a remake of Kris Kristofferson and Fred Fosters hit “Me And Bobby McGee” that was made famous by Janis Joplin in 1971. “I am so proud of this record,” Sherry states. “Working in the studio with Chris is a blast I love how he takes my ideas and runs with them. We have tons of laughs I am convinced he has a blooper real hiding somewhere” She laughs. “All kidding aside Chris brings out the best in me in the studio, we work so well together I can’t imagine ever working with another producer.” The eagerly anticipated single “The Ride of Your Life,” featuring Jason Morey, will be released in May 2020. The collaboration between Lynn and Morey perfects smooth transitions as their voices melt together through the fun, catchy lyrics. The captivating melody promises to have listeners grooving along and begging for more releases from Lynn’s upcoming album, “These Are the Nights.” Due out this summer. “For everything I’ve accomplished, there is still so much to come I am looking forward to achieving.”
