Major Glenn Miller's Army Air Forces Overseas Orchestra was a military musical ensemble led by American bandleader Glenn Miller during World War II. It was formed to entertain the troops stationed overseas and boost morale. The orchestra played a mix of popular and swing music, and their performances became immensely popular among the soldiers. Tragically, Glenn Miller went missing in 1944 while flying to a concert in France and was presumed dead. The orchestra continued to perform under different leaders until the end of the war.
