James Kilbane

James Patrick Kilbane (born, October 14, 1970) is a multi-platinum selling Gospel, Irish and Country singer. James Kilbane was the runner up in Ireland's national talent television show You're A Star in 2004. Since then he has established his career with his mix of Gospel, Country and Folk music. James was born in London, England and is now living in Mayo in the west of Ireland. James married his wife Christina in 1989 and their family home is in the west Mayo region of Achill. Since his success in 'You're a Star' James has gone on to record and release a number of well received albums including, 'King of the Road', 'Close to You, Hymns of Praise', 'Divine Love', 'Life's Miracle', 'Heart to Heart', 'Glory and Grace', 'Songs Of Ireland' as well as his Christmas album titled 'The Christmas Collection'. In April 2012 James will release his ninth album 'Gravel & Grace' that includes several popular radio singles. Many of James Kilbane’s albums are Nashville and Irish collaborations. All of James' albums have commanded considerable airplay and success amongst all MOR, Country and Gospel audiences on independent, regional and local radio in Ireland as well as abroad, rather than on national pop music stations many of which are based in the Irish capital Dublin and elsewhere. Kilbane is not a conformist to many of the norms in the Irish music industry and is considered rather by a few as a loose cannon and by others as a rough diamond. Kilbane often chooses to work freely and has developed musical projects that have enjoyed considerable success through his independent label Gold Eagle Music. He has identified his place in country and gospel music genre in Ireland that is also seeing growth in other English speaking countries. One of these projects was in 2008 he released on his fourth Gospel album 'Heart to Heart' a new anthem for the House of the Virgin Mary titled 'Mary's House, Our Lady of Ephesus'. Mary's House is located at Meryem Ana Evi, Ephesus Turkey.
