Hal L Singer

Hal L Singer was an American jazz and R&B saxophonist and bandleader. He was born on October 8, 1919, in Louisiana, and he played alongside notable artists such as Roy Eldridge and Charlie Christian. Singer's style blended elements of swing, jump blues, and early rock 'n' roll. He had a successful career in the 1940s and 1950s, recording with various labels and releasing his own albums. Unfortunately, he is not widely known outside of jazz and R&B circles. He passed away on August 18, 2020, at the age of 100.
