Chuck Girard is a pioneer of Contemporary Christian music. He was born August 27, 1943 in Los Angeles, California, and moved to Santa Rosa, California in his young teens. He was a founding member of Love Song, the first Christian rock band to become popular in the United States.

    On their first album called "Love Song" was the song called Love Song. I and three other sailors sang it on the USS Enterprise in 1975 on the Focile. No one got saved, but it was a powerful song.

    My kids used to buy C. G. Albums. There was a song about singing a love song and a ballad about an old man that went fishing. I’d like to hear them again on You Tube Or Alexa but don’t know the exact song names.
