Ayesha Erotica is an American hyperpop musician.Her music is in part known for lyrics described by Pitchfork as 'saucy, scandalous quips'. She has been described as having a cult following. She is associated with the 'y2k aesthetic' to which she has been described as a 'revival pioneer'. Musically she is associated with the artists Slayyyter and Charlie XCX.Legally named Ayesha Nicole Smith, she began her career in 2015 as a soundcloud artist. In 2016 she released a hyperpop album named 'big juicy' with included the single 'sixteen'. Later the same year she produced the projects 'barely legal' and 'cumshot'.She later produced the song 'literal legend' which brought her to attention outside of her fanbase. The verses from this song became viral on TikTok. In 2021 the lyric "damn sorry I blow you off" from her track Nasty became viral.From 2018 Ayesha was temporarily inactive following a doxxing incident. however, she appeared at a Slayyyter concert in 2019; and has done collaborations with that artist releasing 'BFF' in 2018. As of 2023 she is working on a collaborative project with Chase Icon and That Kid.In 2023 Susan Boyle's spotify was hacked with the hacker uploading a copy of Ayesha's song 'Anal Queen'.Kim Petras has cited Ayesha as an inspiration. In her grammy nominee interview Petras said that she listened to Ayesha's music frequently while growing up.
