Steve McCutcheon (born 15 January 1972), professionally known as Steve Mac, is a British musician, songwriter, and record producer. He has contributed to 30 UK No. 1 singles to date. That include four number-one singles in the UK Singles Chart from the Irish band Westlife which he co-written and produced ("Swear It Again", "Flying Without Wings", "Queen of My Heart", and "World of Our Own"), another five number-one singles that he co-produced ("Against all Odds", "Uptown Girl", "Unbreakable", "Mandy", "You Raise Me Up"), produced top 5 singles ("Bop Bop Baby", "Tonight/Miss You Nights", "Hey Whatever", "Home"), and the biggest selling original single of the band which he co-written and produced "What Makes a Man". He revealed he made his first millions with Westlife.Winner of the 2018 Brit Award for British Producer of the Year, Steve Mac is one of the UK’s most successful music producers and songwriters, with worldwide sales of over 200 million during his career, including Top 10 singles for Samantha Mumba, Liam Payne, and Rita Ora. He also co-wrote the record breaking, worldwide No. 1 Ed Sheeran single Shape of You which won an Ivor Novello for ‘PRS for Music Most Performed Work in 2017’, and a Grammy in 2018, broke chart history staying in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 for 33 weeks, topped the UK No.1 chart for 14 weeks, and was the most-streamed song of all time on Spotify.At the 35th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards 2018 in Los Angeles, Steve Mac won Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year for Shape of You by Ed Sheeran, plus awards for Rockabye by Clean Bandit feat Anne-Marie & Sean Paul; What About Us by Pink and Strip That Down by Liam Payne. He has been associated with over 200 hit singles and albums internationally with over 200 million worldwide sales for artists such as Little Mix, Anne-Marie, Calvin Harris, Demi Lovato, Charli XCX, One Direction, The Wanted, Leona Lewis, The Saturdays, Susan Boyle, Kate Winslet, JLS, Boyzone and Damage amongst others. Since his first break in the early 90’s with Nomad’s (I Wanna Give You) Devotion feat.
