E.S.T. (Esbjörn Svensson Trio) was a Swedish jazz piano trio formed in 1993. The group, consisting of Esbjörn Svensson (piano), Dan Berglund (bass), and Magnus Öström (drums), gained widespread international recognition for their fusion of jazz, rock, and electronic music elements. E.S.T. released several critically acclaimed albums, including "From Gagarin's Point of View" and "Viaticum," before tragically disbanding in 2008 following Esbjörn Svensson's untimely death. They are considered one of the most influential jazz trios of the 21st century.
