Nina Hynes is an Irish independent singer-songwriter/musician. In 2011, she successfully raised the money with online crowd-funding to record her new album Goldmine (to be released in 2012).[dated info] She made her music debut in 1999 with the release of the EP 'Creation'. Following her 2002 release 'Staros' her successful single release 'Mono Prix' granted her success in Ireland. Nina currently resides in Berlin, Germany after moving from the Reverb label in 2002 to her self owned Transplant Records. She has gained considerable success in the European underground music scene most notable in Ireland, Czech Republic and Slovakia from touring with her band 'Nina Hynes and The Husbands' throughout 2002 to 2008. She has toured extensively in the U.S. from 1999 to 2002. She has a diploma in sound engineering.
