Anacrusis
In poetry, an anacrusis (Ancient Greek: ἀνάκρουσις "pushing up") is the lead-in syllables, collectively, that precede the first full foot of a line. Most commonly seen in lines of iambic pentameter, this technique applies a variation on the typical pentameter line causing it to appear at first glance as trochaic.
