Robyn Hitchcock & the Egyptians was an English rock band led by singer-songwriter Robyn Hitchcock. Formed in the 1980s, the band was known for its distinctive blend of psychedelic and folk rock music. Robyn Hitchcock's surreal and poetic lyrics, combined with the band's jangly guitars and catchy melodies, garnered them a loyal cult following. They released several albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s before disbanding in the late 1990s.
