Clifford Jordan Quartet was a jazz ensemble formed by the talented saxophonist Clifford Jordan. The quartet consisted of Clifford Jordan on tenor saxophone, Cedar Walton on piano, Sam Jones on bass, and Billy Higgins on drums. They gained prominence in the 1960s with their unique style combining elements of hard bop and post-bop. Clifford Jordan Quartet produced several acclaimed albums and their music showcases superb improvisation and tight-knit ensemble playing.
