James Govan (born 1949) is an American R&B soul singer. His most recent album, I'm in Need was released in 1996. He has also performed alongside such artists as The Boogie Blues Band and Charlie Wood. Govan has become one of the favourite musicians in Beale Street known for his cavernous baritone voice. As of 2007 he is actively performing at the Rum Boogie Café.[citation needed]
