Malfunkshun is a band formed on Easter Sunday in 1980 by Andrew Wood and his brother Kevin Wood and is often recognized as one of the "Founding Fathers of the grunge scene" or the "Godfathers of Grunge". They formed around the same time bands such as U-Men (1981), Melvins (1983), Green River (1984) and Soundgarden (1984) did.
