Rapper and songwriter, Shavar Sean Dawkins (born August 13th, 1997), is an artist hailing from Los Angeles. Starting his life in Kingston, Jamaica, then moving to the United States at age 11, Dawkins’ history provides a backdrop to this verging career. His debut single, “Trapped”, arrives in May 2020. Influenced by artists such as Big Sean, Kirk Franklin, Lil Wayne, and Kendrick Lamar, Dawkins started seriously pursuing his lifelong passion for making music in early 2013. The following year, he officially released his first single on Soundcloud, a collaborative work titled “Hold Me tight” with R&B singer-songwriter, Sophia Diane. Dawkins would go on to release a music video for the song directed and edited by himself. It circulated within the community of Burlington, igniting an interest in Filmmaking. Stuck having to choose between two journeys, he then went on to college to study Videography later to drop out to move to Los Angeles to seriously pursue both.
