British singer/songwriter Sam Opeche was once asked what inspires his burgeoning musical career. His reply? “My wife loves me singing instead of speaking.” His sense of humour is as refreshing as his captivating sound. Growing up loving to sing, Sam’s musical career began during his teenage years when he became a vocalist in his school’s choir. For the past six years Sam has launched his solo career writing, arranging, and singing. His tantalizing rhythms and rhapsodies have resulted in two albums; “The Journey”, and most recently in 2013 “We Enter In: A Journey Into Worship”; that consistently top Gospel and Christian charts. Both results are musical experiences well worth taking; a journey many worship-minded, music lovers purposefully experience, again and again. As the message of “The Journey” conveys, Sam is gratified to worship as God leads him on his incredible journey. Sam Opeche’s talent has garnered a number of recognition’s including winning the NCM “Best UK Male Gospel Singer” award in the UK. His debut single “The Journey” was #1 on the New Christian Music (NCM) charts. And yet, with all of his acclaim Sam remains, at heart, a man who grows spiritually and is inspired by both successes and failures. In his own words, Sam attests “I draw inspiration from the wisdom that life has thought me as I journey through the roads of success and failure; yet staying strong and dedicated to the course”. Sam currently resides in London, UK. He spends most of his free time with his wife Elizabeth and three kids, Nehemiah 13, Esther 12 and Lisa 8.
