Mia Jade is an 18-year-old indie-pop singer/songwriter who is based in Leeds, UK. Her voice is unique, perfectly blending the indie and pop feel. She takes a lot of inspiration from artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Holly Humberstone. Mia’s passion for music began when her grandad passed when she was 10, and his guitar was gifted to her. Due to this, she didn’t let the guitar just sit in the corner of her room, she began to teach herself. She started gigging within a band called ‘Miraki’ and she took the stage in many venues such as Gullivers in Manchester, and the Plumstock Festival in her hometown of St Helens. She began writing for herself as well as being involved with the band, and from this her love of song writing only grew more and more. She has been developing as a solo artist for around 2 years now and she just released her debut single, with an EP in the process for the summer. Being a member of the LGBT community, she doesn’t hide her identity, but instead she talks about this in her songs and what she has been through.
