Kenny Fasipe Music producer, Sound engineer, Instrumentalist, Music director, Singer, Songwriter Kenny Fasipe (born January 8, 1965) is a Nigerian music producer, sound engineer, multi-instrumentalist and music director He is most associated with producing Nigerian Gospel Artists. Early life Kenny was born into the music family of the late Reverend and Deaconess S.B Fasipe, well known Baptist Ministers who hailed from Abere in Ede North. He is the last born of the family of seven. All of the members of the family could play virtually all major musical instruments. They were trained by their father who was an organist, a music director and a pastor. Career Kenny Fasipe attended Comprehensive High School Ayetoro . Ogun State Nigeria. During his senior year of high school, Kenny and his twin brother Taiwo Fasipe formed a group called the Young Stars Band. He began his career in music as an audio engineer and music producer shortly after his high school under Lak Adeniran of Afridisia Studio Akoka Lagos. As a highly gifted musician, Kenny joined the music department of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife Nigeria as an undergraduate in 1989. At OAU, he was the director of music for association of music students (AMUS) for two years and founded the Survival Band which later became the O.A.U. band in 1990. Kenny produced his first hit album in 1989 by late Evangelist Bayo Adegboyega titled “Oko Nigeria” He also produced and engineered albums for numerous artists; these include King Sunny Ade, Dr Bola Are, Dr Dunni Olanrewaju, Sunny Okosun among others. Kenny is also credited playing Bass Guitar in most of the works. In 1991, as an undergraduate, he won the Best Bassist Award in Nigeria at rotunda jamz Obafemi Awolowo University. In 1995, Kenny was employed as a music director by the Redeemed Christian Church of God Ladipo Oluwole Ikeja Lagos for many years before he started his own Music and media outfit. He has trained many choirs, band leaders, instrumentalists, groups and musicians around the world. He works in collaboration with his senior brother Reverend Doctor Sola Fasipe of SBTS Louisville, USA, to improve the standard of church music. As a singer and songwriter, Kenny has to his credit some albums and singles. He released a single titled “Mo Dupe” to mark his birthday on January 8. 2021. Personal life An easy going, always smiling gentle personality, Kenny finds joy in helping artists achieve their dreams.
