Born Andrei Rosca in Ploiesti, Romania, Drei immigrated to Seattle with his family at age 16. His parents, seeking greater opportunity than what they could find in their native land, settled in the Evergreen State. While fluent in Romania, Drei spoke only a small bit of English. However, he quickly became acclimated to the urban culture, partly through his infatuation for hip-hop; an obsession which would later become his profession. “I felt in love with hip-hop at an early age. At first rapping was a hobby and later on I decided this is what I really want to do and it became a career. Where I'm from hip-hop is only done in Romanian so I take pride of being the 1st Romanian rapper that showcases his skills and music internationally.” Influenced by artists like DMX, Jay-z & Rick Ross, Drei started his first rap group in 2010 and record the LP “Drei Ros presents B.O.S.S.” The single Windin' caught Akon's attention and later they recorded the street anthem “Criminal Minded” included on his solo project “2 Lumi 1 Life”. In 2012, Drei released his street album “Euros, Pu$$y & Champagne” which was followed by the compilation “Drei Ros & Friends – Euro Trip”.
