Alex Can Do That, also known as Alex Schar, is 22 years old, and is a Dallas, Texas based LGBTQIA+ (identifies as lesbian) new age pop artist. She just released her first single, Don't Talk 2 Me, written and produced herself. Alex Can Do That describes her sound as Neo-Soul Pop, and draws influences from artists like Amy Whinehouse and Alicia Keys. Alex Can Do That started her journey in the entertainment business as a YouTuber dedicated to her fans-ship to Fifth Harmony, these days her focus is on music and business. She writes and produces her own songs as well as runs an LGBTQIA+ clothing line called, Rose Gold Co. Alex Can Do That, was born in 1998 in Waco, Texas to Nurse Rose Mary Schar, and business owner Roy Schar. Alex is half Africa-American (from her mother), a quarter Swiss (from her paternal grandpa), and a quarter Dominican (from her paternal grandma). Alex grew up loving music, she associated herself in many extra-curricular activities involving music. She was a part of middle school band, her high school dance team, and she taught herself to play guitar at the age of 12 years old. As a child, she wrote many songs but never took music seriously. At the age of 16 she began her youtube channel, and thus created a name for herself, Alex Can Do That.
