At night laying in bed I see the memories play in my head Back then, the memories were nice Each night was another surprise But that was then, and now it's now Each night makes me want to rip my fucking guts out The memories are now cold, they can't let me forget What I was told I can't move on but I can't go back I'm just waiting for the moment when I get cut some slack I remember back then, I was sitting in front of the T.V Playing my favorite games, I was at ease you see But now all those games are all violent, making me stressed and frightened I just wish I could go back to the simple days, the days that told me that Everything was going to be okay But no matter how much I whine or backtrack I know I'll never be able to get those simple days back so I just keep on going, and keep on pushing And I keep on trying not to look back because I know one day I'll finally be cut some slack I wanna go back! An attack on my mind One second everything is fine but the next the Memories start messing with my head it's like a text message I can't Decline But that's how it is now, so i guess I'm fine because that's just life I can't complain and whine I gotta find out how to fix this life right Now, I feel so cold and the only thing that can help me is warmth from an old home A place from my past, I'll get there at last, I'll no longer feel sad I'll run from my problems like Sonic I'll lock up my emotions like Robotnick Even though it makes me feel sick it's easier than trying to solve it But that home is now long gone, burnt down to the ground Can you hear the ambulance sound as they rush to try and save my troubled mind Take me back to a simpler time Because I can't be here, anywhere but here, I can't be near, nothing is clear I'll go back to the simple days the answers will be there I'll go through the door and open the drawer take out the note and I'll sit on the floor Till' I find the path to my core, where I'll finally see the source of the problem And once that's done I'll look some more but I ain't going back through that door I'll stay here in the simple days where everything will be okay!
