Orianthi Panagaris, known professionally as Orianthi, is an Australian guitarist. She was introduced to a world-wide audience at the age of 23, performing in Carrie Underwood's band at the 2009 Grammy Awards. Critics describe her as a "virtuoso" and mention that she has performed with Carlos Santana and Steve Vai, as well as at Eric Clapton's Crossroads festival. According her fan club website, she grew up in Adelaide and began playing guitar at age 6. She was influenced by Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and B.B. King among others.
