It was written and produced by Shep Crawford for the singer's fourth album Between Friends and released as its third and final single in 2007, reaching number 59 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The music video for the song was directed by Margaret Malandruccolo, who also shot the video for Tamia's previous single "Me".

Tamia Marilyn Hill (born May 9, 1975), and known professionally as Tamia, is a Grammy-nominated Canadian R&B singer-songwriter whose music spans several genres: R&B, neo soul, hip hop soul, pop, gospel, jazz, and soft rock. She is best known for her 2001 hit "Stranger in My House", Fabolous' 2003 hit "Into You" (which samples her 1998 song "So into You"), and her 2006 hit "Me".
