"How's It Going to Be" is a song by the American rock band Third Eye Blind. It was written by Kevin Cadogan and Stephan Jenkins. It was released in November 1997 as the third single from their self-titled debut album. The song deals with the trauma of the ending of a relationship and how the transition from friends to acquaintances is a brutal one. It reached number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming the band's second consecutive top-ten single. In Canada the single peaked at number six, and in Iceland it peaked at number 32.  more »

Third Eye Blind is an American alternative rock band formed in the early 1990s in San Francisco. The songwriting duo of Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan signed the band's first major label recording contract with Elektra records in 1996 resulting in two multi platinum albums. The band's lineup changed in 2000, ending the songwriting partnership of Cadogan and Jenkins.
