When "Hello Love" peaked in popularity, Snow (at 59 years, 11 months) became the oldest singer to have a No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. The record stood for more than 26 years, until Kenny Rogers (at 61 years, 9 months), eclipsed the record with "Buy Me a Rose. "

Clarence Eugene "Hank" Snow (May 9, 1914 – December 20, 1999) was a Canadian-American country music artist. He charted more than 70 singles on the Billboard country charts from 1950 until 1980. This total includes the number 1 hits "I'm Moving On", "The Golden Rocket", "I Don't Hurt Anymore", "Let Me Go, Lover!", "I've Been Everywhere", and "Hello Love" as well as other top ten hits.
