Heaven on My Mind
by Luther Barnes

I started out with JESUS, at a very early age.
Yes, I've known him, nearly all of my life.

Well I admit there have been times,
When I faulted along the way.
But, I'll keep trying, some how.. I've gotta better end..

You see, I got a charge on my life, and I got a job to do,
And I can't stop,. Until it’s through.....

I'm determined; I got a made-up mind,
and I can't stand around, wasting my time.....

I'm gonna keep on working for JESUS
Everyday of my Life, cause I've got "Heaven, on My Mind".....

I don't have time to waste, oh no...
Criticizing someone else..

There are something, I rather leave behind
"Let me say this today...

And I don't have time to be barter, with He said, that she said, that they said....oh no..
Cause its all I could do,. to keep my own self in line. oh no...

I must work proud, and say, cause I know the night is surely coming..
I'm going, all... all the way... ohhhh

I'm determined; I got a made-up mind,
I can't hang around, hanging around here....
Wasting my time...wasting my time...
I'm gonna keep on working with JESUS..
Everyday of my life,. everyday of my life
Because I got "Heaven, " I got "Heaven,
I got "Heaven, on my mind....on my mind

I can't understand, how some people can move so slow..
Maybe they don't know, just what time it is.
Cause JESUS is coming back, and I know it won't be long..

I've gotta get ready, I gotta be ready, for my savior's crown...
I wanna hear him say, I wanna hear him say..

Well ...You can't run around here,
Say what you wanna say...
You can't hang around. wasting your time,

While your talking, I'm gonna keep on walking,
Cause I got "Heaven, on My Mind"..

You can't talk about me, Say what you wanna say,
You can't stand around here, wasting your time,

While your talking, I'm gonna keep on walking,
I got "Heaven, on My Mind.... On My Mind

On My Mind.
