Chiodos (Pronounced key-oh-dos)) is a six-member Post-Hardcore band from Davison, Michigan. Originally known as "The Chiodos Bros" the band's name was a tribute to filmmakers Baldwin, Henery, and Edward Chiodo, responsible for the movie Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Their second full length album, Bone Palace Ballet, was released in North America on September 4, 2007 and debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on Top Independent Albums..



Chiodos started off at the Flint Local 432, a tiny venue in downtown Flint, Michigan and Old Jamestown Hall in Saginaw, Michigan. Chiodos has toured the United States at least seven times, and have played alongside such bands as Our Last Night, Anti-Flag, New Found Glory, Set Your Goals, Pierce The Veil, From First to Last, Coheed and Cambria, Saosin, Armor for Sleep, Atreyu, Yellowcard, The Used, Senses Fail, Aiden, The Devil Wears Prada, Protest the Hero, The Fall of Troy, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Emery, Every Time I Die, Alesana,Motion City Soundtrack, Hit The Lights, Person L, My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Linkin Park. The band is known for their on-stage performances which include controlled, high-pitched vocals from lead singer, Craig Owens. Craig Owens has cited lead singer of Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, etc. fame, Mike Patton as one of his greatest influences saying, "I only wish I could be as good as him." One of their most notorious live sets was at the New Jersey music festival "the Bamboozle" on May 7, 2006 From this set a plethora of videos were released on YouTube almost immediately following the show. The band also performed May 8 at "The Bamboozle" festival under their own name.
