Dodô & Osmar were Brazilian musicians known as pioneers of the trio elétrico, a musical style and tradition popularized during Carnival in Bahia. They were instrumental in the development of the sound system and electric guitar usage in Carnival parades. Dodô played the electric guitar, while Osmar played an amplified carnavalito, a four-string electric instrument of their own invention. Dodô & Osmar's innovative and energetic performances contributed greatly to the modernization of Brazilian music and the cultural dynamism of Carnival.
